In this role you will define and enforce a comprehensive AI governance framework for Wind Engineering, aligning risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and Responsible AI with enterprise standards. You will operate independently from solution delivery to provide objective governance across AI deployments. You will engage with legal, security, and compliance teams to ensure auditable, trustworthy AI systems that scale and stay compliant over time. This is a chance to shape responsible AI practices in a complex industrial setting and influence governance at pace with evolving technology.

• Design and maintain an AI governance framework covering risk, compliance, cybersecurity, data standards, IP, and Responsible AI
• Set decision rights, approvals, and escalation paths for AI deployments across Wind Engineering
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical governance standards for engineering teams
• Evolve governance with new AI capabilities and regulatory developments
• Maintain a governance register tracking policies, waivers, and compliance across the portfolio
• Define Responsible AI principles and policies including human-in-the-loop requirements
• Develop data provenance, bias evaluation, and performance monitoring standards
• Monitor external AI regulatory landscape and assess impact on programs
• Define risk tiers and validation requirements for AI solutions
• Specify documentation, performance monitoring, drift detection, and lifecycle management
• Ensure AI models are auditable and reproducible with QMS integration
• Collaborate with Senior AI Architects to embed auditability and maintainability
• Partner with Product Security on AI cybersecurity standards and risk
• Establish IP protection guidelines for third-party tools, vendor models, open-source components
• Ensure privacy practices meet data minimization and residency requirements
• Evaluate new AI tools/vendors from security/IP perspectives
• Provide governance approvals at key maturity transitions (e.g., POC to MVP)
• Assess risk, compliance readiness, data governance, and Responsible AI alignment before production
• Maintain records of governance decisions, conditions, and exceptions
• Ensure deployments do not proceed to production without governance criteria
• Serve as primary liaison to enterprise Legal, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Regulatory teams
• Translate enterprise policies to Wind Engineering-specific requirements
• Review AI-related contracts and data sharing for governance risk
• Represent Wind Engineering governance posture in enterprise forums and audits
• Collaborate with GE Vernova compliance, risk, and xqbhyrx digital security teams
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience in technology governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, or AI/data ethics
• Proven ability to implement governance frameworks in fast-moving, matrixed environments
• Practical understanding of AI/ML and generative AI risks in industrial contexts
• Experience partnering with Legal, Security, Privacy, and Compliance to create actionable policies
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influence across engineering, digital, legal, and leadership teams
• Excellent written communication translating regulatory and risk concepts into standards
