Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public
sector institution that promotes and develops biomedical research,
innovation and teaching at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, one
of the largest hospital campuses in Europe. The I2P2-RG (Infections
and Immunodeficiencies in Paediatric Patients Research Group)
conducts research and implementation projects focused on child
health, immunodeficiencies, infectious diseases and health systems
strengthening, both in high and low- and middle-income countries.
The group collaborates with international partners and healthcare
institutions to generate evidence and improve clinical care for
vulnerable populations. The I2P2-RG is seeking a Data Scientist to
support research activities through data analysis, machine learning
and artificial intelligence techniques applied to the biomedical
and clinical environment. Main responsibilities and duties: To
identify and integrate available data sources to support clinical
and translational research activities. To perform data analyses and
interpret results to contribute to the group's research projects.
To support data management and data quality processes within the
research group To collaborate in the development and validation of
AI-based tools within the Vall d’Hebron AI working group. Education
and qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related fields.
Desirable: Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics or
related fields. Fluency in Catalan and Spanish Experience and
knowledge: Desirable: Proficiency in Python and/or R for data
analysis and statistical computing. Knowledge of SQL and database
management. Experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare
environment. Knowledge of data governance principles and European
health data spaces (EHDS). Labour conditions: Working hours :
Full-time (37,5 hours per week). Starting date :



As soon as
possible. Gross annual salary : 35.000-37.627,74€ (Remuneration
will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and
aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale). Contract type :
