Join Telefonica’s Scientific Research group to advance AI-driven telecom networks. You will design AI solutions for 5G/6G networks, bridging research with production-ready systems across cloud, edge, and network management. You’ll work with large telecom datasets, publish in top venues, and collaborate with universities and industry partners to drive innovation from research to real-world impact. You will help shape autonomous, AI-native networks and contribute to the company’s mission of connecting lives.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Conduct original AI research for telecom networks, including autonomous networks, architecture design, and anomaly detection
• Integrate AI models into telecom systems and collaborate with engineering to move from prototypes to deployed solutions
• Work with large-scale telecom data and build end-to-end data pipelines for processing, feature engineering, training, and evaluation
• Publish findings in top-tier venues and communicate insights internally and externally
• Develop telecom domain expertise and share advances with product and engineering teams to enable technology transfer and patent filing
• Foster external collaborations with universities, research labs, EU projects, and industry consortia, and contribute to standards organizations and research proposals
Responsabilidades
• PhD in relevant fields with related research experience, or Master’s with extensive related experience
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modelling, and algorithm design
• Experience with Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Solid understanding of AI research methodologies, experimentation, and evaluation
• Knowledge of mobile network architectures (RAN/Core) and protocols (LTE/5G, TCP/IP) xqbhyrx
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed systems (Spark, Hadoop)
• Strong data analysis, modelling, and visualization skills
• Experience publishing as lead author or essential contributor
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
