ppJob Description: /p pAn opportunity for a skilled and proactive Junior ISR Mission Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). /p pWe are a high-performing team developing complex, multi-sensor mission suites for major aircraft platforms, focused on maritime surveillance and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW). /p h3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 pAs a member of our engineering team, your primary responsibilities will include: /p ul liSupport leading Systems Engineering activities in the Mission Systems field /li liAnalyze customer requirements for its transformation into design solutions. /li liAssess innovative technologies and architectures, to deliver independent cost benefit analysis. /li liSpecify, integrate, qualify, certify and ensure the continued airworthiness of the Mission Systems. /li liSupport leading the detailed system design process: functional requirements, modelling, subsystem specifications, ICDs. /li liSensor Subsystem Management of the integration and optimization of specialized sensors (Acoustic, MAD, Radar, etc.) /li liSystem Integration Lifecycle Management: within a V-shape development framework, covering the full lifecycle from requirements capture to final equipment integration. /li liSupport leading VV activities including product laboratory validation and supporting aircraft ground and flight testing. /li liProvide technical guidance and oversight of specialized suppliers throughout the procurement lifecycle. /li liSupport Services and Commercial campaigns in all aspects related to Mission Systems /li /ul h3SKILLS /h3 pEducational Background: Degree in Aerospace, Electronic, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering. A Master’s degree is highly preferred. /p pProfessional Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience in ISR Mission Systems or Avionics within the aerospace or defense sector. /p pTechnical Knowledge: While we work with a wide array of technologies, we will value experience in any (or several) of the following domains: /p ul liASW Underwater Detection: Acoustic Systems, Magnetic Anomaly Detection (MAD)
/li liMission Computing Avionics Integration: high-performance computing platforms, embedded hardware, real-time environments, aeronautical data buses (e.g., MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet/AFDX) and system-level integration, qualification processes for mission-critical hardware, emerging computing technologies for aerospace applications. /li liAeronautical Cybersecurity, cyber-Resilience, applied to mission systems and aeronautical networks, standards compliance following regulatory frameworks such as DO-326A / ED-202A. /li liMaritime Electronic Surveillance: Radar Electro-optics, Electronic Warfare Identification (SIGINT/ELINT/ESM/COMINT), AIS /li liTactical Datalinks: Link 16, VMF, or Link 22 /li liSystems Engineering Integration, full development lifecycle, VV process, functional analysis, configuration control, complex mission architectures. /li liGeneral Airworthiness and Certification process knowledge. /li /ul pLanguage Proficiency: Strong verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English are mandatory.
