The position requires leadership, creativity, innovation, and autonomy. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and develop turbine pump components such as pumps, turbine rotors, casings, seals, and bearings with a focus on performance, reliability, and manufacturability. /li liLead the creation of detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and GDT‑compliant documentation using CAD tools (preferably Siemens NX). /li liPrepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design justifications, technical specifications, and assembly procedures. /li liCollaborate with fluidic engineers and analysts to iterate and improve designs based on test and simulation feedback. /li liWork with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to ensure DfM compliance and component quality for both conventional and additive manufacturing methods. /li liAnalyze test and simulation data to validate mechanical integrity and structural performance under thermomechanical loading. /li liContribute to the continuous improvement of turbomachinery design practices and standards within the organization. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. /li li5+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace, turbomachinery, or related rotating equipment industries.



/li /ul h3Technical Proficiency /h3 ul liProficient in 3D CAD design (Siemens NX preferred) and capable of working with complex assemblies. /li liFamiliarity with PLM tools (preferably Teamcenter). /li liExperience with ISO GPS standards and generation of detailed, production‑ready design drawings. /li liSolid understanding of thermomechanical loading, stress analysis, and rotor dynamics. /li liFamiliarity with DfM principles for both conventional and additive manufacturing processes. /li liWorking proficiency in English (Spanish and French are a plus). /li /ul h3Soft Skills /h3 ul liCuriosity, creativity, and passion for advanced propulsion technologies. /li liAnalytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities. /li liAutonomy and ownership in delivering results under tight timelines. /li liExcellent communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments. /li /ul h3Other Desired Competencies /h3 ul liMSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. /li liBackground in rocket turbomachinery systems or liquid rocket engine components. /li liExperience with FEM tools (Ansys or Abaqus) for static and dynamic analysis. /li liExperience with programming and automation (Python or MATLAB). /li liKnowledge of bearing and seal design principles for high‑speed rotating machinery. /li liExperience with combustion systems or rocket engine cycles. /li liFamiliarity with aerospace standards for rotating or pressurized components. /li /ul pPangea Propulsion is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
