ppThe System Architect for SAP HANA Financial Closing is responsible for the end-to-end architectural design, governance, and continuous improvement of SAP HANA-based solutions supporting the financial closing process across Allianz entities. The role acts as the primary technical authority for all closing-relevant HANA workloads and ensures alignment with Allianz Technology's general architecture standards, regulatory requirements (IFRS 17, Solvency II), and DORA obligations. /p h3What You Do /h3 h3Architecture Design /h3 ul liDefine, maintain and own the target architecture for SAP HANA-based financial closing solutions, including data models, integration patterns, and performance design. /li liLead solution design for period-end close processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end), ensuring accuracy, traceability, and auditability. /li liEvaluate and recommend SAP HANA versions, features (e.g., calculation views, smart data access, table partitioning), and upgrade paths. /li liEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture. /li /ul h3Financial Closing Domain /h3 ul liTranslate financial close requirements (general ledger, intercompany reconciliation, consolidation, IFRS 17 reporting) into technical specifications. /li liCollaborate with Finance, Controlling, and Group Reporting to align system capabilities with business closing timelines and regulatory deadlines. /li liDrive automation of manual closing steps and reduction of closing cycle time through HANA-native capabilities. /li /ul h3Governance Standards /h3 ul liEnforce Allianz Technology architecture principles and Allianz Group IT policies across all closing-related HANA landscapes (Dev, QA, Prod). h3Stakeholder Vendor Management /h3 ul liAct as the primary technical interface to SAP and system integration partners for closing-relevant topics. /li liProvide architectural guidance to project teams,



developers, and basis administrators working on the closing landscape. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 h3What you bring /h3 ul li8+ years of experience with SAP HANA, including data modelling, performance tuning, and landscape administration. /li liDeep expertise in SAP HANA and SAP analytic cloud (SAC) /li liProven track record delivering or architecting financial closing solutions in large, multinational environments. /li liStrong understanding of HANA-native development (CDS views, AMDP, calculation views, stored procedures). /li /ul h3Domain Knowledge /h3 ul liSolid understanding of financial close processes, period-end reporting, and consolidation under IFRS. /li liFamiliarity with Solvency II and IFRS 17 data and reporting requirements for insurance entities. /li liUnderstanding of data governance, audit trail requirements, and segregation of duties in a regulated financial environment. /li /ul h3Soft Skills Other /h3 ul liExcellent communication skills – able to bridge technical architecture and business/finance stakeholders. /li liExperience working in a globally distributed, multi‑OE technology organisation. /li liFluent in English; German or Spanish is an advantage. /li liTOGAF, SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA), or equivalent is desirable.
