ph3Purpose of the Role /h3pThe Senior Accountant provides high-level accounting support within the GBS organization, acting as a key reference point for complex topics and supporting the wider accounting team. This role requires experience in IFRS, internal controls, and advanced reconciliation, including intercompany and fixed assets, within GBS or shared services environments. /ppSupervises, guides, and supports a small team of 3-4 Accountants, ensuring quality of work, task prioritization, and day-to-day operational support. /ppMaintains and reviews general ledger entries, performs advanced balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany and fixed assets, ensuring IFRS compliance. /ppOwns and manages reconciliation processes ensuring proper documentation for audit readiness at all times. /ppDrives timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, working effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. /ppIdentifies, analyzes, and resolves complex accounting discrepancies, escalating risks or deviations proactively to the Team Leader. /ppSupports internal and external audits, providing accurate documentation and clear responses to audit queries. /ppMonitors compliance with internal controls and IFRS standards, identifying gaps and proposing improvements. /ppPromotes knowledge sharing and best practices within the team, identifying process improvement and automation opportunities.
