General Manager – Surgical Vision, Iberia

Location: Madrid, Spain.

Our Vision team solves the toughest health challenges in eye care. As General Manager for our Surgical Vision division in Spain & Portugal, you will lead the commercial operations and shape the future of surgical vision business.

Responsibilities

- Lead all aspects of the overall commercial operations and performance of the Surgical Vision business in Iberia
- Develop and implement a strategic business plan to drive profitable growth and exceed sales and profit targets
- Develop and lead a team that shares a strong purpose to advance the standard of care for patients, consistently demonstrating customer centricity, strong work ethics, and promoting a culture of collaboration and inclusivity that fosters innovation and excellence
- Build and nurture strong connections with various external and internal stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders, health care professionals, cross‑functional local and regional partners
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to determine business opportunities and make informed decisions about strategic priorities and go‑to‑market model
- Drive operational efficiency and cost effectiveness through continuous process improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Master’s degree required;
disciplines related to Healthcare, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Business Administration, or other relevant fields are preferred
- Proven track record of executive leadership in the healthcare industry, with strong preference for the surgical or medical device sector
- Experience in ophthalmology is a plus
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to analyze and implement successful business strategies




- Strong communication and people leadership skills, able to establish and nurture relationships with a wide range of individuals
- Demonstrated drive and proactive approach, with a proven ability to excel in a highly competitive market
- Strong leader capable of balancing commercial execution, strategic growth, and evolution of the operating model
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken;
knowledge of Portugueseis a plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Base Pay Range

€98,400.00 – €169,855.00
