/li liCommitment to continued professional development through development plans tailored to individual needs and interests. /li liGlobal connections with leading industry experts around the world who are shaping the standards of our profession. /li /ul h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform structural and civil calculations such as foundation calculations, piling, earthworks, retaining walls, compressor foundations, dynamic calculations, steel structures, blast‑resistant buildings, etc. /li liInterpret geotechnical reports. /li liPrepare contract requisitions for civil and structural work on assigned projects. /li liPrepare job specifications for civil and structural work on assigned projects. /li liCheck, comment on and approve steel shop drawings. /li liCheck, comment on and approve precast concrete shop drawings.Co‑ordinate with the civil/structural team and with other teams of different disciplines. /li liEnsure that all civil/structural engineering works on assigned projects are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the project specifications. /li liIdentify circumstances likely to result in contract changes and prepare man‑hour estimates to support contract changes. /li liAdvise the Leader Civil Engineer and Engineering Manager of any slippage and their causes and proposed corrective action including any technical problems and unresolved differences with other groups. /li liLiaise with specialist consultants appointed to support the Civil Engineering, Design Group and construction personnel and address site queries during construction.



/li liCarry out periodic inspection of civil and structural work during construction to ensure correct interpretation of designs and issue completion certificates for structural work carried out on assigned projects. /li liKeep abreast of developments in the civil and structural engineering field. /li liPerform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Leader Civil Engineer and Engineering Manager. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBSc (Civil Engineering) or BEng (Civil). /li liTen years relevant experience in oil and gas projects (design and calculation). /li liExcellent command of Spanish and English languages. /li liKnowledge of Spanish and international standards and codes (EHE, CTE, EAE, EuroCodes, AISC, ACI, etc.). /li liAdvanced user of StaadPro, Staad Foundation, Sap2000, IDEA Statica and MS Office. /li liHolding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required. /li /ul h3About Us /h3 pWood is a global leader in consulting, engineering and operations for the energy and materials sectors.
