ppSOP Analyst, EU Last Mile Planning at Amazon.com in Barcelona, CT, ES. This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. /ph3DESCRIPTION /h3pLast Mile SOP sits at the heart of Amazon's European operations: our forecasts and plans decide how millions of packages flow to every delivery station across Europe, and everything downstream - labour, transportation, delivery speed and cost - is built on the plan we set. Get it right and the whole network runs efficiently; that's the impact this team owns. /ppIn this role you'll own part of that forecasting process - the plan for a set of countries or forecasting parameters - justifying it to leadership, deep-diving the misses, and driving the actions that improve it, building automations to make your forecasts sharper every week. Own the forecast for multiple countries or a set of forecasting parameters, end to end. Report to leadership on your plan, justify your assumptions, and deep-dive the drivers when actuals miss. Own part of our weekly planning cadence, with decisions that have direct, measurable business impact across the European network. Use AI and Python to automate manual work and improve your models, backed by a technically deep team. /ph3Key job responsibilities /h3ulliOwning the forecast (the core of the role) /liliOwn the forecast for a defined scope - multiple countries or a set of forecasting parameters - and be accountable for its accuracy end to end. /liliOwn part of the team's weekly planning cadence: take in the latest demand signals, produce your plan, and publish it to Operations and stakeholder teams. /liliReport your plan to leadership, justify the assumptions behind it, and clearly explain the trade-offs you've made. /liliDeep-dive forecast misses: find the root cause, quantify the impact, and drive the corrective actions with the relevant teams. /liliDriving projects that improve the process:
lead improvement projects on your scope - redesign a forecasting method, add a new driver to a model, or close a recurring accuracy gap - and measure the business impact. /liliBuild or extend forecasting tools and automation, then roll them out so other countries and analysts adopt them. /liliPartner on cross-team initiatives with Operations, transportation and upstream planning teams to improve how the end-to-end plan comes together. /liliContribute to team-wide standardization: turn a manual or ad-hoc process into a repeatable, scalable one for the whole European network. /li /ulh3A day in the life /h3pYou start by running your part of the weekly cadence, refreshing the latest volume signals and checking your countries' position against plan. When actuals miss, you deep-dive the drivers, quantify the impact, and align stakeholders on the fix. You present your plan to leadership, justifying the assumptions behind it. Then you spend your afternoon automating a manual step or improving a forecast model. /ph3About the team /h3pWe are the central planning team for Amazon's Europe Last Mile SOP.
