Offer Description
The European Innovation & Knowledge Transfer Officer will support the management and implementation of projects funded by the European Union, ensuring their proper execution in compliance with the requirements established by the European Commission.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management and implementation of EU-funded projects in accordance with the Grant Agreement, the Consortium Agreement, and the approved work plans.
- Monitoring project progress, deliverables, milestones, and deadlines to ensure that project activities are completed according to the established timelines.
- Preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and following up on agreed action points to facilitate effective project coordination.
- Supporting the financial and administrative management of projects, including budget monitoring, resource allocation, preparation of financial reports, and justification of project expenditures.
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of both periodic and final technical and financial reports.
- Ensuring compliance with the financial, administrative, and reporting requirements established by the European Commission.
- Coordinating with the University's internal services (Finance Department, Legal Office, and the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Research and Knowledge Transfer) to support the successful implementation of projects.
- Supporting communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities, including the preparation of newsletters, website content, and other communication materials.
- Monitoring project risks, supporting quality assurance processes, and contributing to the timely delivery of project results and documentation.
- Assisting in the preparation of competitive European funding proposals, including the preparation of administrative documentation, budgets, and consortium-building and coordination activities.
This position requires close collaboration with academic staff, project partners, and the University's support services to ensure the successful implementation of European research and innovation projects.
Requirements
Research Field All Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, European Studies, Public Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Professional experience: A minimum of three years of experience in the management of European Union-funded projects, preferably within EIT, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, or other similar European funding programmes.
Specific Requirements
- Strong knowledge of European Commission funding rules and the monitoring, reporting, and financial justification requirements for EU-funded projects.
- Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
