ph3JOB DESCRIPTION /h3 pA temporary position is being announced with the purpose of carrying out research tasks for the Innate Immunity Unit to be carried out in the framework of the project “Unraveling the role of CD5L in modulating tumor associated macrophage responses: a novel opportunity for immunotherapy”. We look for a highly motivated candidate who wishes to advance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment within the field of translational cancer immunology research. /p h3MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liConduct in vitro functional and phenotypic analysis of macrophages and immune cells in the context of cancer using primary cells and cell lines. /li liInvestigate biomarker expression in human samples employing techniques such as immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, or RT-PCR-Sequencing. /li liAnalyse complex datasets using bioinformatic tools. /li liMaintain a comprehensive understanding of the research field through literature review. /li liAnalyze and interpret experimental data, contributing to manuscript preparation. /li liActively participate in laboratory meetings, IGTP seminars, and national or international conferences. /li /ul h3QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE /h3 pbRequired: /b /p ul liAt the time of recruitment, candidates must hold a Masters degree in biological or biomedical science. /li liExperience abroad. /li liApplicants must demonstrate an advanced level of English language (spoken and written). /li liPrevious experience with data analysis and R programming, cell culture, real-time PCR, microscopy, and image analysis. /li /ul pbValued: /b /p ul liBackground knowledge in immunology, cancer and/or cancer immunology /li liHands-on research experience in national/international laboratories /li liProven ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and concisely, and to work collaboratively within a research team. /li liStrong ability to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines. /li liOrganizational,
