Works with produce personnel to promote department sales, profits, and customer service. /p h3Essential Duties And Responsibilities /h3 ul liWorks in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work. /li liSupports upper management with the review of historical data regarding sales, ads and promotions. Co-manages inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels. May review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with department manager. /li liIndirectly responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.



/li liInspects product for quality control and food safety standards; adheres to all governmental product origin labeling. /li liPromotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives and appealing product displays. /li liCuts and trims product using sharp knives; prepares and displays product to ensure high quality presentation and appearance. /li liEnsures maintenance of stock conditions on produce and floral display racks, tables, and shelves. /li liChecks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork. /li liProvides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints. /li liMaintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills And Abilities /h3 ul liIntermediate knowledge of produce department operations. /li liIntermediate knowledge of in-store ordering machine and inventory management processes. /li liIntermediate knowledge of scheduling software systems. /li liAbility to operate a manual or electric pallet jack. /li liAbility to safely operate and maintain department equipment. /li liAbility to handle objects gently to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property. /li liAbility to use an alphanumeric keyboard. /li liAbility to use precision and non-precision hand tools. /li liAbility to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc. /li liAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. /li liAbility to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment. /li liAbility to effectively communicate with customers, and partners in written and verbal form. /liliAbility to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes. /li liAbility to work versátil schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
