We electrify, automate, and digitalize every industry, business, and home, driving efficiency and sustainability for all. /p pAt Schneider Electric, our values – IMPACT (Inclusion, Mastery, Purpose, Action, Curiosity, Teamwork) – are the foundation of everything we do. /p pBecoming an Impact Maker means turning sustainability ambitions into actions at the intersection of automation, electrification, and digitization. /p pAre you ready to lead the digital transformation to create a more sustainable world? /p pIf you are up to challenge your creativity and make an impact, we are excited to welcome you! /p h3Role Purpose /h3 ul liThe Lab and Compliance assessment Senior Manager leads the laboratory responsible for Verification, Validation, and certification activities for the company’s switches and sockets product portfolio. /li liThe Lab Manager drives operational excellence, ensures technical competency, and supports product development teams by delivering high‑quality and on‑time test results. /li liThe role ensures that all laboratory operations comply with internal quality standards, international regulations, and the requirements of certification bodies (VDE, AENOR, Fimko, Demko, Semko, etc…). /li /ul h3Scope Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Laboratory Leadership Operations /h3 ul liLead and develop the VV lab team, including Product test Engineers lab technicians (~20 FTE) /li liPlan, prioritize and supervise all testing campaigns: design validation, design verification, type tests, routine tests, surveillance tests, and certification tests. /li liEnsure full autonomy and compliance with VDE AENOR Level 3 accreditation requirements. /li liMaintain and improve laboratory processes, workflows, and documentation. /li liEnsure all tests are executed according to relevant international standards (IEC/EN standards for switches sockets), internal specifications, and regulatory requirements. /li liGuarantee laboratory compliance with accreditation quality systems (ISO/IEC 17025). /li liOwn lab audits, internal and external, and drive corrective/preventive actions. /li liEnsure health, safety, and environmental compliance for all equipment and operations. /li /ul h3Technical Expertise Test Excellence /h3 ul liProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex or non‑standard testing activities. /li liValidate and approve test methods, test reports, and technical interpretations. /li liEnsure proper calibration, maintenance, and investment planning for lab equipment. /li liDrive continuous improvement, including automation, digital tools, and new test capabilities. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Management Collaboration /h3 ul liWork closely with RD design teams, Quality, Certification, Manufacturing, and Product Management to support project milestones. /li liAct as the main point of contact for certification bodies (VDE, AENOR), external laboratories, and partners. /li liCommunicate clearly on test progress, risks, timelines, and results.
/li /ul h3Strategy Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liDefine the lab roadmap aligned with RD and business strategy. /li liOptimize lab performance through KPIs, resource allocation, and process improvement. /li liIntroduce best practices in reliability engineering, accelerated testing, and predictive quality. /li /ul h3Required Competencies Qualifications /h3 h3Technical Professional Skills /h3 ul liEngineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, or related field. /li liStrong knowledge of electromechanical products, especially switches, sockets, and installation devices. /li liSolid expertise in laboratory testing: electrical mechanical tests, environmental tests, safety testing, etc. /li liExperience with IEC/EN product standards and certification processes (e.g., IEC 60669, IEC 60884, VDE, AENOR). /li liKnowledge of quality systems (ISO/IEC 17025) and test method validation. /li /ul h3Leadership Management Skills /h3 ul liDemonstrated ability to lead large technical teams in a laboratory or engineering environment. /li liStrong planning, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities. /li liExcellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. /li liAbility to drive change, foster continuous improvement, and develop team competencies. /li /ul h3Personal Attributes /h3 ul liRigor, integrity, and sense of responsibility. /li liCustomer‑centric mindset and orientation toward service quality. /li liAutonomy, proactivity, and ability to work under time constraints. /li /ul h3Ready to lead innovation and drive meaningful change? /h3 pAt Schneider, we believe that every employee is a talent who deserves equal opportunities.
