ppStreet Child is a charity dedicated to empowering some of the most vulnerable children in the world by giving them the chance to go to school and giving their families the sustainable means to keep them there. There has never been a better time to get behind our cause; we are an ambitious and exciting international development charity and this is your chance to be a part of an incredible fundraising adventure! /p pWe are currently looking for a full‑time (33 hours per week) Spanish intern to join us in our Barcelona office. The preferred internship duration is six months, although shorter durations can be discussed. Street Child embraces skill diversity among interns and we are happy to tailor tasks to the personal strengths and interests of the intern. /p h3Key Tasks /h3 pBelow are some examples of your responsibilities. You will spend 60% of your time on the first two tasks: /p ul liFundraising research: find new funding prospects, including trusts, foundations, and major donors in Spain, and contact them. /li liFoundations proposal writing: write funding proposals for trusts and foundations using knowledge of previous, current, and upcoming Street Child projects. /li /ul h3Administrative tasks /h3 ul liSupport day‑to‑day office tasks, help with minute‑taking during meetings, and other administrative related tasks. /li /ul h3Communications /h3 ul liManage social media, update the website, and promote local and international events and the international volunteering programme. /li liManage email campaigns and translate content between Spanish and English. /li liVolunteer coordination and event management: manage the existing volunteer base and help recruit new volunteers to the network. /li liBusiness development:
build and manage collaborations and partnerships with other organisations and companies. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pYou will gain valuable experience for your CV through a wide variety of tasks and regular training sessions, allowing you to improve both professional and personal skills. /p pAs Street Child is a fairly new organisation, you will have greater responsibility than in other internships and the chance to make a real impact. Working with a young, dynamic, and international team will expose you to culturally diverse people and give you the opportunity to practise different languages. /p pExpenses paid – up to 150 euros per month may be reimbursed on a cost recovery basis if receipts are provided. /p h3Requirements /h3 pKey characteristics: /p ul liSelf‑motivated, pro‑active and innovative, able to use initiative and work independently. /li liInterest in the non‑profit sector and in Street Child’s mission. Willingness to be flexible, have fun, and enjoy a laugh with the team. /li /ul pAreas of university studies: /p ul liInternational relations, human rights, development, economics, general affairs, marketing, or related fields. /li /ul pSkills: /p ul liExcellent communication skills with a professional manner via telephone and e‑mail. /li liNative Spanish level and professional English skills are required (Catalan desirable). /li liDocument translation skills. /li liKnowledge of social media and Microsoft Office. /li liKnowledge of the fundraising landscape in Spain and existing channels is a plus. /li /ul h3Application Process /h3 pStreet Child welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of nationality, gender, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or age.
