ph3What You’ll Own /h3 pSystem Refactoring Architecture /p h3About The Role /h3 pWe are looking for a Product Designer to refactor, scale, and govern our existing Design System into a robust, enforceable multibrand product platform, supporting multiple products and devices (web, mobile, and digital kiosks). This role sits at the intersection of Design, Engineering, and AI tooling. /p ul liReduces design and engineering rework /li liProtects brand and UX coherence at scale /li liAccelerates delivery through reusable primitives /li liEnables AI-assisted workflows without quality degradation /li /ul pYou will partner with a dedicated Engineering platform team to ensure design primitives are implemented in production and adopted across squads. /p pThe role begins fully focused on Design Systems. Once governance and foundations are stabilised, it transitions to a 50/50 model: maintaining system ownership while embedding in product squads to stress‑test and evolve it in real contexts. /p h3System Refactoring Architecture /h3 ul liAudit and rationalise existing components, tokens, and patterns. /li liDefine scalable foundations (design tokens, spacing, typography, color, motion). /li liBuild a multi‑brand theming architecture that supports current and future brands. /li liEnsure accessibility and performance standards are embedded into the system. /li liEstablish the Design System as a single source of truth across design and code. /li liDefine automation pipelines for token distribution and component releases. /li /ul h3Governance Enforcement /h3 ul liDefine and implement the governance model (decision rights, intake process, review model, versioning). /li liApprove or reject deviations from system standards. /li liEstablish contribution workflows for designers and engineers.



/li liDefine quality benchmarks and release cadence. /li /ul h3Engineering Partnership /h3 ul liPartner with a dedicated DS Engineering team to ensure parity between Figma and production. /li liAlign design tokens and components with code architecture. /li liReduce design‑to‑code friction and eliminate one‑off UI implementations. /li /ul h3AI Workflow Integration /h3 ul liStructure system primitives for AI‑assisted prototyping. /li liEnable AI‑generated concepts to remain system‑compliant. /li liEmbed the DS into internal AI tooling to reduce time from idea to validated prototype. /li /ul h3Adoption Evangelism /h3 ul liDrive adoption across squads through training and documentation. /li liTrack usage and system health metrics. /li liIdentify friction and evolve the system accordingly. /li /ul h3About You /h3 ul liProven experience refactoring and scaling an existing Design System. /li liExperience working with dedicated DS engineering counterparts. /li liStrong systems thinking and UI craft. /li liExperience defining governance and enforcing standards. /li liStrong understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations. /li liKnowledge about cross‑browser compatibility challenges as well as hands‑on experience crafting semantic HTML structures using the latest best practices is highly valued. /li liExperience defining scalable token architecture and automated distribution pipelines.



/li liPortfolio demonstrating Design System work (production impact required). /li /ul h3Strong Plus /h3 ul liMulti‑brand theming architecture experience. /li liExperience integrating structured systems with AI‑assisted workflows. /li liExperience operating in multi‑squad, high‑growth environments. /li liWorking knowledge of front‑end implementation (HTML/CSS/JS).
