ph3About Pangea Propulsion /h3 pWe are a company dedicated to developing advanced propulsion systems for the space industry based on high efficiency, sustainability, and reusability. We aim to be the propulsion provider for the next generation of spacecraft and to lead in the booming space market of the next decade. We are a passionate, multicultural, and multidisciplinary team pushing the boundaries of space propulsion technology. We have history through testing the world’s first 3D-printed Methalox Aerospike engine, a milestone for the industry. We are looking for talented professionals to join our international teams in Barcelona and Toulouse. We value diversity and believe it is a key to success, with equal opportunities for growth for everyone at Pangea. /p h3About The Role /h3 pAs a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor within Pangea Propulsion’s Structural Analysis team, operating with autonomy on thermomechanical, dynamic, and nonlinear structural problems. You will own analysis campaigns end-to-end—from problem framing and modelling to validation, results interpretation, and design recommendations—directly influencing the architecture, performance, and robustness of the next generation of propulsion systems. /p pYour work will include static thermomechanical analyses, modal analysis, complex eigenvalue extraction, and frequency or time-based dynamic analyses, with a particular focus on rotating machinery. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform and lead FEA campaigns including static, modal, thermo-mechanical,

dynamic and transient analyses, handling non-linear problems (contacts, plasticity, large deformation, etc.). /li liPlan, build, verify, document, and maintain high-fidelity FE models with traceability to loads, material properties, requirements, and assumptions. /li liProvide clear, actionable design feedback to mechanical design and propulsion teams at both part and subsystem levels. /li liDevelop and improve analysis methodologies, scripts, subroutines, benchmarks, and guidelines. /li liParticipate in design reviews, presenting methods, assumptions, results, and recommendations with clarity, conciseness, and technical rigor. /li /ul h3What You Need To Be Successful /h3 ul liMaster’s degree (or higher) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering disciplines. /li li3+ years of experience performing advanced structural analyses using commercial FEA tools (preferably Abaqus). /li liProven ability to run structural static and dynamic analyses with high independence, including thermomechanical, linear and nonlinear, modal and other dynamic analyses. /li liStrong understanding of structural mechanics, vibrations, fatigue, fracture, material behavior, and numerical methods.

/li liDemonstrated experience framing analysis problems, defining assumptions, and ensuring consistency with loads and system requirements. /li liAbility to interpret results critically, identify anomalies, and propose sound engineering solutions. /li liExcellent communication skills—able to articulate assumptions, limitations, and design implications clearly to multidisciplinary teams. /li liProactive mindset, ownership attitude, and passion for sharing knowledge and elevating team capability. /li liFluent English. /li /ul h3Other Useful Skills /h3 ul liExperience in fatigue (high cycle and low cycle), fracture mechanics, rotordynamics, test-correlation, topology optimization or probabilistic structural methods. /li liKnowledge of rocket propulsion systems: injector heads, thrust chambers, turbomachinery, feed systems, thermal dynamic environments, etc. /li liProficiency with meshing tools (e.g., MeshWorks) and scripting languages (Python, MATLAB). /li liExperience writing Abaqus subroutines (UMAT, USDFLD, UEL, etc.). /li liExperience working with ECSS, AIAA and other aerospace structural verification standards. /li /ul pPangea Propulsion is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider all applications without discrimination on any legally protected grounds. We welcome applications from persons with disabilities and we can provide reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
