The adecuado candidate for this position is a mid-to-senior civil or construction engineer capable of assuming the role of Work Package Leader for various construction projects within the ALBA II program.

This program features a 'New Buildings' project, where each work package is dedicated to the construction of an individual building.

The Work Package Leader will report directly to the Project Manager, an architect from the ALBA Engineering Division.

In this context, the main functions of the successful candidate are outlined below:
- Oversee and monitor civil engineering and construction projects from conceptual design through to commissioning, including the supervision of tendering processes when applicable.

- Supervise and manage subcontracted companies handling civil engineering and construction tasks.

- Develop new technical installations for new beamlines, accelerators, and laboratories.

- Prepare and manage the financial budgets and project execution schedules assigned to the work group.

- Draft comprehensive project plans and technical specifications for construction-related calls for tenders (including extensions, renovations, and new constructions).

- Provide support for facility maintenance operations in accordance with the building, asset,



and technical installation maintenance plans.

- Support the design, maintenance, and operation of the various industrial control systems already installed at the Synchrotron facility.

- Acquire deep technical knowledge of existing systems (HVAC, compressed air, and de-ionized water cooling systems) and develop the capability to perform failure diagnostics

Requirements

The requirements for participation must be met on the date of the deadline for the submission of applications and will be accredited by means of the CV attached to it, without prejudice to the power of the selection body to require the contribution of the originals of the certifications accrediting the qualifications, training and work experience invoked in the CV.

Applications that do not present the aforementioned or required documentation during the selection procedure will not be accepted.

The successful candidate musthold a bachelor degree in either Civil Engineering, Building Engineering o Construction Management, Structural Engineering or equivalent.

It is required to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years experience working on civil engineering and/or construction projects.
