In this role you lead Hitachi Energy's Fire and Explosion Safety Program across global facilities, ensuring alignment with internal, industry, and regulatory standards. You will shape safety policy, drive cross-functional strategies, and elevate the safety culture within the organization. You’ll perform risk assessments, oversee training, and coordinate safety requirements across purchasing, installation, and maintenance. This position offers a meaningful impact on operational excellence and safety leadership within a global energy environment.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Lead the BU Fire and Explosion Safety Program and provide technical guidance
• Assess and safeguard prevention systems on BU TR facilities, tools, and equipment
• Develop and implement cross-functional safety strategies and standards
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation for Fire and Explosion safety
• Provide training and develop technical competencies at local sites
• Define safety requirements for purchasing,
installation, commissioning, and maintenance
• Coordinate with Real Estate projects to ensure safety compliance
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering with specialization in Fire and Explosion safety
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, British Standards, API, xqbhyrx NFPA
• Experience in fire and explosion safety inspections and audits
• Proven ability to collaborate with insurance companies on prevention
• Strong technical safety knowledge and risk review for capital projects related to Fire and Explosion safety
• Willingness to travel globally (10-20%), fluent in English
