We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to support a major critical infrastructure project in Northern Spain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting health, safety and environmental compliance across a large-scale construction project involving medium voltage infrastructure works, including diversion works, enabling activities and associated civil works.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of HSE procedures on site
- Conducting site inspections, audits and safety observations
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring compliance with safe systems of work
- Supporting contractors and subcontractors with HSE requirements
- Monitoring high-risk activities including excavation, lifting operations and electrical infrastructure works
- Assisting with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Promoting a strong safety culture across the project team
Project scope includes:
- Earthworks and site preparation
- Removal and installation of electrical infrastructure
- Access road improvements
- Implementation of temporary protection measures
- Final reinstatement works following completion
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an HSE role within construction, infrastructure or energy projects
- Experience working on large-scale construction sites
- Strong knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and construction safety requirements
- Experience supporting contractors and subcontractors in a site environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
- Relevant HSE qualification (NEBOSH, PRL, or equivalent)
- Must have the right to work in Spain or hold valid Spanish residency/work authorisation
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.
