Experteer Overview In this role you lead a national team of Medical Scientists to shape and execute Medical Affairs strategies within therapeutic areas. You partner with Country Medical Lead and Medical Project Managers to translate TA plans into actionable team activities, while collaborating across functions and with the medical community. You will drive development, coaching, budget planning, and onboarding to build a high-performing MS group. This role offers national impact with international collaboration and travel. You will help steer medical strategy and ensure compliant, patient-centered scientific support, contributing to Gilead’s mission to tackle major health challenges.Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Lead and manage a national team of Medical Scientists
- Provide strategic guidance for MS objectives within TA strategies, medical POAs and cross-functional projects
- Develop and train the MS team per the MS Competency Model; coach and mentor
- Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct reviews
- Plan and report MS activities; manage MS budget
- Lead hiring and onboarding of new team members
- Engage with medical community and maintain thought leaders network
- Contribute to medical TA leadership and TA strategy (medical and cross-functional) and POAs




- Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategy (medical communications, KOL engagement, insights and evidence generation)
- Implement international Medical Affairs initiatives at national level
- Direct planning and execution of MS activities (advisory boards, medical education, data generation, ISR, Phase IV support)
- Contribute to product strategy through participation in national/international product/brand teams
- Collaborate with Clinical Research, Sales and Marketing, Market Access, PVE
- Review and improve tools to manage the MS function; define the role for Medical Affairs
- Shape the MS function and its future within the departmentResponsabilidades
- Advanced scientific degree (i.E. MD, PharmD, PhD)
- People management experience (ideally leading field-based teams)
- Proven track record of planning and executing a medical affairs plan
- Ability to embrace Gilead's patient-centric values, including highest ethical and compliance standards
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and prioritization
- Strategic mindset with focus on collaboration and excellence
