No /ph3Offer Description /h3pOne of VHIO’s main missions is to btrain and inspire the next generation of leading cancer researchers and medical doctors in Oncology /b to drive impactful health research and innovation practices that will tackle tomorrow’s societal challenges. Through the bVHIO Academy /bestablished in 2021, the institute aims to attract talented international scientists and support them through state-of-the-art training and career development opportunities. /ppTo boost VHIO leadership in cancer research we are launching bVIDA (“VHIO International postDoctoral programme for translAtional Research”) /b, a bnew postdoctoral programme /b led by VHIO and designed to foster excellence research through the implementation of inclusive recruitment practices and an impactful training portfolio. /ppbVIDA /bwill recruit ba total of 12 postdoctoral researchers distributed in 2 calls /b to conduct interdisciplinary and intersectoral research activities in the broad topic of bCancer Research /b, which will comply with all the principles of Open Science and maintain the highest research quality standards. The bVIDA /b COFUND programme includes the bparticipation of 16 different academic non-academic partner organisations /b. /ppThe VHIO VIDA Programme offers b5 fellowships /b in this 2nd call_Extended.
/ppResearch Field Medical sciences » Cancer researchBiological sciences » Biology Years of Research Experience 4 - 10 /ph3Additional Information /h3pEligibility criteria /ppCandidates shall fulfil the following requirements at the time of the call deadline ( 20 August, 2026 ): /pulliCandidates can be of any nationality and must undertake btransnational mobility /b, which means that candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline. Furthermore, applicants working at VHIO for more than 3 months before the call deadline will not be considered eligible. /liliCandidates must be bin possession of a doctoral degree /b at the deadline of the co-funded programme’s call. Researchers who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree will also be considered as postdoctoral researchers and will be considered eligible to apply. In this case, a letter from the University providing the degree must be included with an estimated date for the award.
