In this Credit Controller role within Sompo's Finance Operations in Continental Europe, you manage proactive credit control and cash allocation to support profitability and customer service. You will partner with brokers, clients, and internal teams across finance, underwriting, IT and claims to resolve credit and cash issues. Based in Barcelona or Madrid, you will drive overdue debt reductions, handle escalations, and influence process improvements.

This is a hands-on role with cross-functional collaboration in a global insurer.

- Pro-active credit control and follow-up on overdue accounts
- Escalate and track action points from reviews to management
- Analyze trends and recommend actions to reduce overdue debt
- Allocate cash to receivables and manage cash allocations
- Handle queries from collections and tax departments
- File documentation and maintain records




- Investigate and resolve challenging accounts with ongoing collaboration across departments
- Support ad hoc duties as directed by Line Manager

Responsabilidades

- 5+ years in a similar role within the Insurance/reinsurance market in Continental Europe
- Experience of credit control in the Insurance sector, especially co-insurance
- Experience of Aged Debt Reporting and analysis
- Strong Excel skills at Proficient Level (including macros)
- Understanding of business processes and systems xugodme
- Ability to work on own initiative and challenge existing procedures
- Strong technical, credit control skills and knowledge of co-insurance procedures
- Good understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance products in Continental Europe
- English language skills essential; Italian or French advantageous
