Mission Description

We are looking for a Team Leader who can lead and inspire our Underwriting & Policy Servicing team.

The team consists of 8 enthusiastic colleagues who would be delighted to welcome you!

Your responsibilities

As Team Leader, your tasks include:

- Managing and guiding the team by providing advice and support with daily tasks, and delivering training when needed.
- Prioritising the team’s weekly workload.
- Identifying areas for improvement in service quality (mail, telephone, complaints management, etc.).
- Bringing a customer‑focused mindset to the team by identifying the needs/expectations of clients/brokers and adapting the service accordingly.
- Ensuring team performance and productivity by translating departmental objectives into clear goals.
- Supporting employee development through regular one‑to‑one meetings, coaching, and evaluation of performance processes, with the support of your manager.
- Leading information or project meetings.
- Creating a positive and stimulating environment in which team members can thrive and further develop their capabilities.
- Working together with the Life Retail Manager to define the team’s strategy.
- Managing the department’s allocated budget.
- Analysing potential customer complaints and proposing appropriate solutions.

Your profile





- You hold at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance or economics.
- You are a true expert in life insurance and have an in‑depth understanding of operations in this sector.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in the life insurance industry.
- You demonstrate strong leadership skills by inspiring trust within the team and achieving results through a collaborative and performance‑oriented culture.
- You have excellent knowledge of Dutch or French, with a very good command of the other national language.
- You are well‑versed in the Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of lean management is an asset.
- You are meticulous, organised, and able to manage priorities while respecting tight deadlines.
- You possess strong communication skills and can effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
- You have a participative leadership style and are able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- You are dynamic, positive, and open to new ideas.
