About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing relevant EU legislative and non-legislative developments and their implications to SHEIN’s business interests.

He/she will also work with the Director to manage the company’s policy positions across EU and strategic European markets in various domain areas such as technology, sustainability, trade. In addition, the successful candidate will actively support the Director in the development of stakeholders’ engagement strategies.

He/she is responsible for building relationships with mid-level EU stakeholders and also to plan, organise and manage SHEIN’s meetings at EU level. In this role, the candidate must be able to work effectively with various teams, including our ESG, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Supply Chain teams to represent and advocate the company’s positions on multitude of policy issues.

The successful candidate should possess interest and ability to understand how politics, business, sustainability,



technology and innovation, as well as international relations are interconnected.

Responsibilities:

- Track, monitor and provide assessment of legislative and non-legislative EU issues and their implications to SHEIN’s commercial interests
- Report to SHEIN's Director of Government Relations Europe and contribute to shaping overall positions for the European Union
- Identify and map key policy stakeholders (including EU policy makers, government officials, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and industry associations) at EU level
- Execute engagement strategies – including with NGOs - to reach out and build relationships with stakeholders to strengthen network of partners
- Execute advocacy plans and communications plans in support of company’s overall policy positioning and profiling
- Organise and manage meetings with external parties, including the preparation of briefing notes/presentations for senior management’s reference
- Manage travel requests, internal invoices from trade associations and other partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Economics or related field
- At least 7 years of working experience in government relations and EU policy in Brussels
- Experience in policy research and analysis
- Strong EU policy and regulatory network, with a demonstrated ability to interact at political level effectively and comfortably
- Track record of effectively solving complex issues and delivering strong results while maintaining the highest standards
- Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills
- Strong proficiency in English (and competency in French/German would be a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
- Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
