About Us
TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free educational program that places teenagers, aged 12 to 18, at the centre of defining their own learning paths, allowing them to expand their knowledge in technology and creativity regardless of their socioeconomic background. Founded in Yerevan, Armenia, in 2011, TUMO is now present in 10 countries, including France, Germany, and soon Japan, the Netherlands, and the United States. In 2026, TUMO continues its international expansion with a new centre set to open in Bilbao in September. The project is led by Fundación “la Caixa”, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, and the Bilbao City Council. Students combine TUMO’s learning objectives (Robotics, Photography, Game Development, Graphic Design, Filmmaking, Programming, Music, and Animation) in their learning plans, continuously adapting them to fit their progress and evolving preferences. Soft skills such as teamwork, initiative, empathy, and effective communication are incorporated into the educational programme, together with subject knowledge and technical skills.
About the Role
As TUMO prepares to open a new centre in Bilbao‑Bizkaia, we are building a team of Workshop Leaders across the different learning areas. Each learning area will include 2 to 3 Workshop Leaders, who will be responsible for leading workshops throughout the academic year, using the curriculum and pedagogical materials provided by TUMO Armenia. Workshop Leaders are not required to create content from scratch, nor to have prior teaching experience. Instead, we are looking for individuals who are specialists in their respective fields, genuinely enthusiastic about the TUMO project, and highly motivated to work with young people.
Responsibilities
- Lead Photography workshops using TUMO materials combined with your own experience and creativity.
- Review students’ work at the end of each workshop.
- Track weekly self‑learning activities.
- Guide students, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Photography (or a related area with photography content) or 3 or more years of relevant work experience in the field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge (mandatory).
- Experience with Adobe Lightroom (preferred).
- Advanced English and native/fluent in Euskera, both written and spoken (mandatory).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in education and working with young people (a plus).
- Responsible and reliable attitude, both when working independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work on‑site in a young, fast‑paced, and multidisciplinary environment.
