Experteer Overview
As Research AI Director, you will shape and execute our AI research strategy, leading a multidisciplinary team to advance LLMs, model compression, and alignment from research to production. You’ll partner with the CSO to translate science into deliverable programs and help Multiverse sit at the frontier of applied AI. You’ll represent the company at top venues and guide a culture of scientific excellence and impact. This role combines deep technical leadership with strategic vision to align science with product goals.

Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Define and own the multi-year AI research roadmap aligned with product priorities
• Lead and scale a diverse AI research organization including researchers, ML engineers, software engineers, and applied scientists
• Oversee end-to-end LLM development lifecycle: pretraining, fine-tuning, alignment, evaluation, deployment
• Manage concurrent AI research projects with emphasis on rigor, reproducibility, and on-time delivery
• Establish KPIs, publication targets, and IP generation tracking; ensure knowledge transfer to product/engineering teams
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business Development to ensure research outputs are commercially relevant




• Build external collaborations with academic institutions, national labs, and AI consortia
• Support pre-sales and strategic customer engagements by articulating research capabilities and roadmap
• Contribute to grants, publications, patents, and white papers to reinforce technical leadership

Responsabilidades
• PhD with strong peer-reviewed AI/ML publication record
• 8+ years post-PhD or industry research experience
• Proven expertise in large language model development (pretraining, fine-tuning, RLHF/DPO, deployment)
• Track record of managing and scaling AI research or engineering teams
• Experience bridging academia and industry with deliverables and timelines
• Hands-on experience with distributed training infra (multi-GPU/multi-node, Megatron-LM, DeepSpeed, FSDP)
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to communicate complex research to non-specialists
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
