The successful candidate will join a collaborative leadership team and play a critical role in supporting the organisation's growth, financial integrity, compliance, and transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial reviews.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
- Ensure the integrity and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Support external audits and coordinate responses to auditor requests.
- Oversee preparation, review, and filing of corporate tax obligations, including VAT, income tax, payroll taxes, and withholding taxes.
- Monitor compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Coordinate relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure accurate tax accounting, reconciliations, and accrual processes.
- Establish and strengthen internal controls related to accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.
- Lead ERP enhancements, system upgrades, and integration projects.
- Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approval workflows, and payments.
- Monitor AP ageing and contribute to cash management and liquidity planning.
- Oversee the complete Accounts Receivable function, including billing, collections, credit assessment, and cash application.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing aligned with customer agreements and contracts.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and customer disputes.
- Act as the primary contact for banking relationships and treasury operations.
- Manage banking administration, account structures, and authorised signatory processes.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team comprising one manager and accounting specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
