For a United Nations Agency, NTT DATA is currently looking for a Power BI Specialist - Data Modelling, High-Performance Dashboards to work remotely from Europe . You will design, implement, optimize, and support Power BI dashboards and data models that enable efficient analysis of large datasets while ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability

And where you should be responsible for:

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to business and operational requirements.
- Implement dashboards supporting advanced filtering, slicing, and drill-down while maintaining acceptable performance.
- Customize standard Power BI visuals and, where required, design and implement custom visuals.
- Performance Optimization and Platform Limitations
- Analyse and address performance bottlenecks related to data volume, transformations, DAX calculations, and visual interactions.
- Apply best practices to ensure optimal performance for datasets exceeding 50,000 records.
- Identify and mitigate Power BI platform limitations related to memory, rendering, and query execution.
- Data Modelling and Calculation Logic
- Design and implement robust data models based on fact and dimension principles.
- Apply star and snowflake schema modelling techniques where appropriate.
- Develop and optimize calculated measures and KPIs using DAX.
- Data Integration and SQL
- Work with relational data sources and SQL queries to prepare performant datasets.
- Coordinate with backend teams on data extraction and transformation strategies.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
- Document dashboards, data models, calculations, and performance considerations.




- Contribute documentation to the designated knowledge repository (e.g. Confluence).

Your profile :

- Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, data analytics, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting solution development, including extensive practical experience with the Power BI platform .
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI .
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts (facts, dimensions, star schemas).
- Proven experience delivering high-performance dashboards for datasets of 50,000 records or more.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and calculated measures.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
- Understanding of Power BI platform limitations and optimization techniques.
- Experience working with complex filtering and interactive visuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in large, complex organizations.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver work within agreed timelines.
- Fluent in English-language (both written and verbal) is required.
