We are looking for a
Senior HR Manager for a Financial Sector company in Madrid. Reporting to the HR Director, the adecuado candidate will have experience in Financial Consulting, Strategic Consulting, or Financial Services and will lead a change strategy aligned with the Corporate in Europe.
Role Overview
- Senior People & Organisation Manager responsible for executing the people agenda aligned with business priorities.
- Key role in organisational evolution, governance reinforcement, and culture development across the Group.
- Combines operational HR expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute talent lifecycle initiatives, including hiring, development, retention, and succession planning across regions.
- Support workforce planning and organisational design, ensuring proper coverage of critical roles.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring consistency with internal standards.
- Coordinate HR operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and internal policies.
- Supervise employment documentation, HR decision-making processes, and external vendor collaboration.
- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Drive organisational effectiveness and cultural transformation initiatives aligned with company values.
- Advise and coach leadership teams on engagement, performance, and leadership practices.
- Manage employee relations in Spain, including disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations,
and conflict resolution.
- Maintain relationships with employee representatives and works councils; support negotiation processes where applicable.
- Provide guidance on restructurings, terminations, and contract changes in Spain, ensuring legal compliance.
- Collaborate with Legal and external advisors on complex cases and labour authority interactions.
Candidate Profile
- 8–10+ years of HR experience, including senior advisory or leadership roles.
- Proven experience supporting business transformation in multi-site or international environments.
- Degree in Law, Labour Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or similar.
- Postgraduate education in HR or Labour Law is highly valued.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law and employee relations practices.
- Experience in HR policy implementation and compliance (including data protection frameworks).
- Solid exposure to compensation, payroll governance, and vendor management.
- Advanced HRIS usage with a data-driven and analytical mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Proven ability to handle complex situations with sound judgement and discretion.
- Experience in negotiation processes with works councils and unions in regulated environments.
