The opportunityJoin a general team at the forefront of the energy transition, helping customers maximize the performance, reliability, and lifecycle value of their critical power infrastructure.As a Senior Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced technical services across complex automation and control systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and resilient operations.In this highly autonomous role, you will combine deep technical expertise with a strong customer focus, leading commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrades, and service activities that directly contribute to customer success.Acting as a trusted advisor and technical reference, you will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges, drive continuous improvement, and support the digitalization and modernization of power networks worldwide.How you’ll make an impactPerform advanced commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on complex systems and equipment.Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Execute service activities in compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, Health and Safety procedures, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.Act as the main technical interface and point of contact for customers during service execution and after-service follow-up, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Support customer training, technical briefings, and on-site guidance when required, providing clear technical explanations, recommendations,
and improvement proposals.Provide technical input for service quotations, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities.Coordinate with service coordinators, project managers, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient execution.Your background5–10 years of hands-on field service experience in industrial, electrical, automation, or power systems environmentsProven experience with complex installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle service activitiesBackground in customer-facing roles, working independently on-site and managing technical responsibilityStrong knowledge of one or more of the following, depending on the business area: Automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA), Protection and control systems, communication networksKnowledge of Substation Automation Systems such as MicroSCADA or similar will be beneficial.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, functional specifications and technical documentationFlexibility to travel nationally and work on sites when required.
