Non-Life Reserving
- Perform actuarial analyses to assess the adequacy of Non-Life reserves.
- Support reserving reviews across multiple business units.
- Analyse reserve developments, trends, and assumptions.
- Contribute to reserve governance and oversight activities.
Actuarial Reporting and Analysis
- Support the production of actuarial reports and technical analyses.
- Evaluate payment patterns and reserve movements.
- Contribute to ad-hoc actuarial studies and business reviews.
- Assist in the assessment of reinsurance structures and reserving performance.
Automation and Technical Development
- Develop and maintain actuarial tools and diagnostics.
- Drive automation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and consistency.
- Create analytical solutions using Python and/or R.
- Contribute to process improvements and actuarial innovation projects.
Data Analytics and Advanced Modelling
- Analyse large datasets to support actuarial decision-making.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation activities.
- Support data-driven initiatives and analytical projects.
- Contribute to the development of new actuarial methodologies and frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Reserving, Pricing and Model Validation teams.
- Work closely with international actuarial colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical findings into meaningful business insights.
- Support cross-functional projects involving actuarial, finance, data and risk functions.
Transformation and Modernisation Initiatives
- Participate in actuarial transformation programmes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of actuarial processes and controls.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and analytical approaches.
- Help build scalable actuarial solutions for a growing international business.
We are looking for an actuarial professional with experience in reserving, strong analytical capabilities, and a genuine interest in programming, automation, and innovation.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Experience within insurance actuarial functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently within an international environment.
Preferred Experience
- Around 4-5 years of actuarial experience.
- Non-Life Reserving experience.
- Actuarial reporting and reserve analysis experience.
- Exposure to modelling, automation, or transformation initiatives.
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R (highly preferred).
- Advanced Excel capabilities.
- Experience working with actuarial models and analytical tools.
- Data Science exposure would be considered a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of data analytics, automation tools, or cloud-based environments is beneficial.
