Player-Coach/Leader Business Development Opportunity with a Leading General CRO.

Open to European applicants, however, candidates from Germany & UK will be prioritised

Overview This isn't your typical "Business Development" opportunity, where you're onboarded and expected to sell a set of services for a Discovery CRO - this is much more than that.

The position will operate in a senior Player/Coach capacity, directly managing key strategic relationships while also leading and mentoring a small team of BD professionals (approx. 2/3). Success will be seen in developing long-term collaborations with Top-Tier BioPharma, companies shaping commercial strategy across the region.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic BD plans targeting large/mid-sized biopharma .

Building relationships across biotech, pharma, venture capital firms, incubators and accelerators.

Leading complex commercial negotiations from initial engagement through to project launch.

Working closely with scientific,



project management and marketing teams to deliver an outstanding client experience.

Providing market intelligence and strategic insight to senior leadership.

Opportunity to build and lead a commercial team as the region continues to expand.

Qualifications

Master’s/PhD in Chemistry, Biology or related discipline.

6Y+ Experience in Business Development CRO.

Strong expertise of early drug discovery, from target identification through lead optimisation.

Deep network across large and mid-sized biotech & pharma.

Proven ability to both hunt for new business and grow strategic accounts.

Experience managing/mentoring commercial teams, sales or business developers.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
