About the Role At Entzimatiko, we are looking for a GC-MS Laboratory Specialist to join our growing industrial biotechnology team, dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for plastic recycling. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment, contributing to the development and scale-up of innovative enzyme-based depolymerization processes.
The role combines analytical laboratory work, method development, problem-solving, and close collaboration with colleagues from different technical areas.

What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will contribute to a variety of analytical and development activities, including:
Operating and supporting the maintenance of GC-MS instrumentation
Participating in analytical studies related to enzyme-based depolymerization processes
Assisting in the development, optimization, validation, and documentation of analytical methods
Interpreting analytical data and helping ensure the quality and reliability of results
Collaborating with colleagues across process development, engineering, production, and management teams
Supporting laboratory documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs),
and quality-related activities
Contributing to pilot-scale and industrial-scale process development projects
Required Qualifications Requisitos mínimos
Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
Practical experience working with GC-MS instrumentation in laboratory or industrial settings
Solid understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and sample analysis workflows
Familiarity with GC-MS operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and method development
Ability to interpret chromatographic, spectrometric, and analytical data
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality and reliability
Nice to Have
Experience in industrial biotechnology, polymer science, recycling technologies, or chemical processing environments
Exposure to analytical method validation and trace‑level analysis in complex samples
Familiarity with laboratory documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality systems
Experience supporting pilot-scale or industrial-scale projects A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working within multidisciplinary teams
