We’re partnering with a fast-growing, VC-backed fintech on a mission to improve people’s financial well‑being. Since launching recently, they’ve scaled to hundreds of thousands of users and processed over €1B in transactions. Role

This is a Staff‑level, highly hands‑on engineering role focused on designing, building, and scaling backend systems in a modern, event‑driven environment. Responsibilities

Design and scale backend systems using Python/Django. Own architecture in a microservices + event‑driven environment. Work closely with infrastructure and security teams (AWS). Take systems from design → production → scale. Leverage AI tools to improve development speed and quality. Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering excellence. Tech Stack

10+ years of backend engineering experience. Strong expertise in Python & Django. Proven track record scaling systems in startups or scale‑ups. Experience with AWS and containerized environments. Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and performance optimisation. Ability to debug complex production issues. Focus on performance, reliability, and cost‑efficiency.
