Overview Are you curious about digital transformation and process optimization? We’re looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to help shape more efficient, data-driven, and scalable regulatory processes while ensuring continued compliance with chemical regulations. This hybrid role is based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with EU chemical regulations (REACH, CLP, and related legislation).

Manage regulatory data in platforms such as Chemmate, IUCLID, and other digital tools, developing reports, dashboards, and tracking tools using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and internal systems.

Conduct regulatory assessments and support product development, reformulation, and change management activities.

Evaluate existing Regulatory Affairs processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, data quality, and user experience improvements via digital tools and automation.

Collaborate with stakeholders across regions to harmonize regulatory practices, support digital transformation,



and represent Hempel in industry associations.

Required Qualifications

University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Data‑related Scientific Fields, or a similar discipline.

Experience in Regulatory Affairs within chemicals, coatings, or manufacturing industry.

Solid knowledge of European chemical legislation (EU REACH, CLP, product stewardship).

Advanced skills in Excel (structured data, pivot tables, formulas); experience with Power BI, Chemmate, IUCLID, SQL, or similar tools is an advantage.

Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
