Responsibilities
Project Manager
Support dissemination and communication of the project’s results.
Prepare and monitor the financial and technical reporting.
Identify and seek national and international funding opportunities for the research group.
Support the preparation of future research proposals, drafting and revising cross‑cutting sections, including impact, open science/open access, Data Management Plan (DMP), gender equality, and ethical aspects.
Coordinate administrative matters with different UDC units and funding bodies.
Lab Manager
Launch, coordinate,
and administratively manage recruitment calls for project personnel.
Process and monitor procurement of scientific equipment and materials, and contracting of services associated with the group’s activities.
Manage administrative aspects of travel, subsistence allowances, and research stays for project staff.
Monitor and control the project budget in accordance with Horizon Europe regulations and UDC internal regulations.
Organise the laboratory’s administrative activities and provide continuous support to the research team in daily work.
Archive, manage, and maintain the project’s administrative and financial documentation.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Preference for civil, mechanical, aerospace, or biomedical engineering disciplines.
Selection Criteria
Academic Background (up to 30 points) – weighted grades of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, with preference for certain engineering fields.
Professional Experience (up to 40 points) – research experience in computational mechanics and numerical methods, participation in competitively funded projects, and management of R&D;&I; projects.
English Proficiency (up to 10 points).
Interview – selected high‑scoring candidates invited to a personal interview.
