Teamit is a research management organisation that builds strong public-private partnerships and provides transversal expertise for impactful health science. We bring our knowledge in project and scientific management, communications, multi-stakeholder engagement, regulatory science, real world evidence, training and education, quality and risk management, sustainability and exploitation to European funded research projects and multinational drug safety and pharmacoepidemiology research studies. We team up with partners from the entire health ecosystem to ideate and implement research and innovation initiatives.

We are looking for a Scientific Communications Officer to join our team in Barcelona.

This role is an opportunity to work at the intersection of science, communications and societal impact. You will contribute to the communication and dissemination activities of European research and innovation projects, helping translate complex scientific topics into clear, accurate and engaging content for diverse audiences.

The successful candidate will work closely with international consortia, researchers and project partners across Europe to develop and implement communication plans, coordinate content production, create digital and editorial materials, support stakeholder engagement activities, and identify opportunities to increase the visibility and impact of project results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the design of communication and dissemination strategies and annual tactical plans in line with research projects’ objectives and tailored to a wide diversity of audiences.

Ensure high quality implementation of annual plans, guaranteeing consistency in terms of branding, messaging and frequency of posting via digital channels.
3. Act as the main point of contact for communications activities, ensuring alignment and coordination with all partners.
4. Lead and moderate meetings and workshops, delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences when required.
5. Coordinate the production and design of communication materials (websites, newsletters, infographics, videos, podcasts, social media posts, toolkits, etc) making sure these comply with projects’ guidelines, branding and style. Liaise with external providers.
6. Write and optimise content for websites, digital newsletters, print publications and social media.
7. Collate and monitor KPIs.
8. n permanent dialogue with diverse research teams across Europe, identify science-based newsworthy stories within our project portfolio and ensure adequate, broad dissemination across diverse audiences.
9. Develop narrative guidelines and lead the conceptualisation of dissemination materials in different formats (articles, whitepapers, podcasts, animatedinfographics, videos, case studies, etc) in close collaboration with researchers.




10. Create, edit or proof-read written editorial content (websites, newsletters, print publications and social media) following highest quality and grammatical standards.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in a life-sciences related field such as Biology, Biomedicine, or Biotechnology.
- Master in Scientific, Corporate or Digital Communications.
- Native speaker or highly proficient in oral and written English (C2). Fluent in Spanish.
- Demonstrable experience of 2-3 years in a similar position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, ability to work autonomously, good public speaker, proactive and with high-quality standards.

Desirable

- Demonstrable digital media skills and good working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft packages.
- An interest in health-related topics.
- Knowledge about EU funded research
