Overview Amazon Operations maintains and optimizes technologies in the Integral Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. This Senior Building Management System (BMS) Specialist role supports one of the largest BMS portfolios, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of BMS technologies to deliver seamless functionality and customer experiences.

Key Job Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize BMS technologies, IoT platforms, and data analytics.

Monitor ticket/work order processes and queues, ensuring high quality customer service.

Analyze BMS data to identify opportunities for optimization, energy efficiency and cost savings.

Design, implement and manage BMS Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Processes scalable globally.

Develop and execute strategy for maintaining, improving and expanding global support services.

Collaborate with WWRE, D&C;, Sustainability, RME and other stakeholders to understand requirements.

Uphold compliance with change‑management processes.

Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, maintaining a customer‑centric approach.

Provide strategic insights and recommendations on BMS trends, improvements, issues, root causes, team skillsets and emerging technologies.

Document white papers, manage timelines and stakeholders for BMS initiatives.





Lead training sessions and development programs for internal teams and individuals to enhance technical skills of field RME teams and BMS Specialists.

Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Willing to work flexible shifts to provide 24/7 BMS support, ensuring global customers receive timely assistance.

Basic Qualifications

Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in HVAC and BMS controls, including remote BMS communication issues, fieldbus (BACnet, LON, Modbus via RS485), network gateways and IP-based protocols (Niagara Fox, MQTT, BACnet/IP, SNMP).

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 3 years of experience in BMS programming and commissioning in building controls or related field.

Experience integrating multiple communication protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, SNMP to a single platform with normalized data for standard visualization.

Preferred Qualifications

Fluency in French, Spanish, German or Italian.

Certification with Tridium Niagara.
