We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and reliable Head of Maintenance to oversee the full upkeep and technical management of a prestigious private ultra-luxury villa in Pedralbes, Barcelona. This is a hands‑on role requiring broad technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to resolve issues swiftly and discreetly — before they ever impact the household's experience. The adecuado candidate takes full ownership of the property's condition, manages external contractors with confidence, and ensures every system, space, and surface is always in perfect working order.
This is a freelance / on-call position. The role is active during the principals' stays at the property and may vary in frequency and duration throughout the year. Candidates must be available to commit to confirmed dates and deliver the same level of excellence on every engagement, regardless of duration.
Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and improvements throughout the villa — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks to the highest standard.




- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule for all systems — HVAC, pool, irrigation, electrical, security, and home automation — ensuring zero disruption to the household.
- Source, coordinate, and supervise external contractors and specialist service providers — ensuring quality control, punctuality, and discretion at all times.
- Oversee outdoor areas including gardens, terraces, pool, and exterior structures — coordinating landscaping and seasonal upkeep to maintain impeccable presentation year‑round.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalade — a problem‑solver who anticipates, acts, and reports without needing to be asked.
- Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment inventory — controlling costs, tracking warranties, and maintaining detailed records of works carried out.
