Founded in 2025, Lumina Academy is a growing bilingual English-Spanish school located on the beautiful Cádiz coast. Inspired by Waldorf pedagogy and informed by modern educational practice, our vision is to provide children with a rich and balanced education where strong academics are complemented by creativity, movement, nature-based learning and meaningful relationships.
We believe childhood should be filled with wonder, imagination, exploration and a genuine love of learning. Our curriculum places core academic subjects at its heart while being enriched through movement, gardening, arts, handcrafts, music, dance, outdoor learning and bilingual language immersion. We strive to nurture not only intellectual development but also confidence, resilience, curiosity and social-emotional wellbeing.

Primary School Teacher to work with children across Grades 1–6.

This position is to lead a small mixed-age class of approximately seven international children, providing a unique opportunity to teach in a personalised and relationship-centred environment.

THE ROLE
- Deliver engaging lessons in core primary subjects.
- Foster a warm, nurturing and structured classroom environment.
- Support children's academic, social and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum and school projects.
- Participate in school events, family activities and community initiatives.
- Contribute positively to our bilingual and international school culture.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Teaching qualification recognised for primary education.
- Waldorf teaching qualification or training.
- Minimum 5 years' teaching experience.
- Ability to speak English and Spanish. Ability to teach fluently in one.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Genuine passion for children's education and wellbeing.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in alternative, holistic or project-based education.
- Knowledge of child development and neurodiversity.
