Chester College International School, located on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to join our team as Assistant Director /Director of Studies. Founded in 1985, Chester College offers a nurturing, multilingual environment, rooted in Christian Catholic humanistic values. As a small, close-knit school community, we provide personalized education for students aged 3 to 18, fostering academic excellence, personal growth and integrity.

**The role**:
We are looking for a passionate and collaborative leader with a commitment to academic excellence, student well-being and school development. The Assistant Director /Director of Studies will work closely with the School Director to support faculty, staff, and students, contributing to the school’s strategic growth and development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Leadership & Development**: Lead the team of teachers and staff members, overseeing their professional growth, including classroom and teacher observations and evaluations, curriculum development and implementation.
- ** Student Progress**: Evaluate and ensure maximum student academic and personal progress.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**: Engage with parents, students and other key stakeholders in the wider school community.
- ** School Improvement**: Assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive school improvement plan.
- ** Growth Strategy**: Assist with the development and execution of a growth strategy for the school.
- ** Extracurricular Development**:



Contribute to the ongoing development of our extracurricular programs.
- ** Operations Management**: Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring smooth and effective functioning.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- University degree and Master degree/postgraduate training in relevant fields.
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
- Prior teaching experience.
- Strong background in curriculum development and educational management.
- Commitment to our school’s values and mission.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Eligibility to work in the European Union is an advantage.
