Company Description The Wellness Shift was founded by healthcare professional Jenny Opalinski, SLP, and counselor Joanna Hunt (Micek), LMHC, who bring over a decade of experience supporting mental and emotional well-being. After seeing the impact that demanding work environments can have on mental health, they created The Wellness Shift as a space that centers psychological safety, resilience, and practical support.
The organization designs and delivers customized workshops for executives, employees, and, soon, university students. These programs focus on mental health and wellness strategies, tools for recognizing stressors and triggers, and effective de-escalation techniques. Team members join a mission-driven environment that values empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based approaches.
Role Description The Information Technology Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Jerez de la Frontera. This team member provides day-to-day technical support for staff, including setting up and maintaining workstations, assisting with software installations and updates, and supporting reliable access to digital tools used in workshops and operations.
The role includes diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing printer support, and escalating complex incidents to senior IT resources or external vendors as needed.
The Information Technology
Assistant also helps monitor system performance,
maintains basic documentation of IT processes and assets, and supports staff with questions related to connectivity, accounts, and secure access. Collaboration with program and administrative teams is expected to ensure technology runs smoothly during in-person events and office operations.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Information Technology and general IT environments, including operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common office software.
- Hands-on experience providing Technical Support and end-user assistance in a professional or academic setting.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and applying strong Analytical Skills to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Ability to support printers and related devices, including Printer Support tasks such as setup, configuration, and routine maintenance.
- Strong customer service orientation, with clear and respectful communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible language.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Jerez de la Frontera and to prioritize multiple requests in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive mindset toward maintaining secure and stable systems.
- Relevant coursework, certification (e.g., CompTIA A+ or similar), or equivalent practical experience in IT support is preferred.
