To support continued growth, Fristam Ibérica is seeking a motivated and technically strong Pump Sales Engineer to join the team. Job Details

- Full time, permanent contract
- Based in our modern Gijón office or remotely, preferably in Cataluña, Levante (Eastern Spain), or the Madrid area

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain, develop, and grow relationships with existing and new potential customers across Spain and Portugal
- Identify, qualify, and manage opportunities from first conversation through commissioning support
- Provide consultative technical guidance on hygienic pumping and mixing applications
- Maintain an expert level of product and application knowledge
- Lead or support trials, demonstrations, and proof-of-performance activities at customer sites
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure solutions are correctly specified and delivered
- Maintain a clear pipeline, forecasts, and activity reporting; CRM discipline is essential
- Provide market feedback regarding competition, trends, and related developments to sales management
- Manage commercial processes for quotations, receipt of orders, order entry, and related order-processing requestsRepresent Fristam at industry events, customer meetings, and partner activities
- Visit customer sites to understand process challenges and hygienic requirements
- Review opportunities for process optimisation using Fristam pumps and mixing systems
- Select pumps and prepare quotations for submission to customers
- Work from the office to develop proposals, plan strategy, and coordinate projects
- Support hands‑on activities at customer sites, including trials and application validation

Knowledge and Skills





- Strong technical understanding of machinery and mechanical systems
- Practical, customer‑first mindset with a strong interest in solving process‑related challenges on site
- Ability to connect effectively with engineering and maintenance teams
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders ranging from operators to engineering managers and procurement
- Structured, self‑motivated working style combined with strong teamwork instincts
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and confidence working across digital platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results‑driven business approach with the ability to identify opportunities and secure sales

Education and Work Experience

- Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline
- More than 5 years of proven experience in technical sales of pumps, other rotating equipment, or flow control machinery is a strong advantage
- Exposure to hygienic industries such as food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals, or closely related sectors
- Native Spanish language skills and good working English, spoken and written
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the domestic market
- Occasional travel to the headquarters in Germany may be required

Location and Working Arrangement

- Candidates may be based in the Gijón office or remotely, preferably in Cataluña, Levante (Eastern Spain), or the Madrid area
- The initial phase of the role will require on‑site presence in Gijón and at the headquarters in Germany for the first weeks
- Following onboarding, the role may transition to a remote‑first model with occasional attendance at the Gijón office
