As Staff System Architect at Siemens, you own the end-to-end platform architecture for a high-scale, multi-service environment, combining diverse systems and data at speed. You will shape a secure, observable, and cost-aware enterprise platform, working with cross-functional teams to turn enterprise capabilities into concrete designs. You’ll remain hands-on to resolve architecture risks and prototype key parts, while guiding decisions without formal authority. The role offers impact on security, data integrity, and scalable delivery in a hybrid work setting. This is an opportunity to influence a large-scale, trusted platform that supports product transparency and vulnerability operations.

• Own the target architecture and roadmap, including migrations and cutovers for systems that cannot be switched off
• Translate enterprise architecture into system architecture with the Principal Key Expert Enterprise Architect
• Design component and data architecture with serverless, containerized, and managed cloud services
• Define APIs and interfaces with various data modalities and clear contracts
• Define data ownership and boundaries with explicit, versioned interfaces
• Architect security and identity, including RBAC/ABAC and threat modeling
• Set targets for performance, availability, scale,



and cloud cost, justifying data store choices
• Record decisions and maintain architecture documentation, leading build-versus-buy analyses
• Lead technically across teams, review designs, prototype risky parts, and explain architecture across stakeholders

Responsabilidades
• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture with ownership of architectures across multiple systems and production delivery
• Architecture practice including ADRs, C4 or similar models, threat modeling, capacity planning, PoC-led build-versus-buy analysis
• Distributed systems and integration experience: event-driven design, resilience patterns, versioned REST/OpenAPI contracts
• Data architecture experience with relational, document, xghoner graph, search, and analytical stores, large-scale data modeling
• Security architecture experience: RBAC/ABAC, identity federation and SSO, least-privilege IAM, secrets management, auditability
• AWS and operations: cost-aware multi-service AWS designs with Terraform or CDK; SLOs, observability, incident response, non-disruptive migrations
• Hands-on engineering in Go, Java, Kotlin, C#, Rust, Python, or TypeScript
• Technical leadership without authority: clear reasoning and fluent English communication
