Monitor maintenance costs, budgets, stock levels and purchasing, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with budget guidelines. Coordinate and supervise external contractors and suppliers, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with hotel standards. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations, including risk assessments, safety inspections and scheduled testing of fire protection equipment. Oversee and carry out maintenance and repair works across the hotel, including plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, furniture and general building maintenance. Ensure all maintenance requests, equipment records, technical documentation and inventory controls are accurately maintained and regularly updated. Support the Chief Engineer in the day-to‐day management of the Engineering Department, deputising when required and covering Shift Engineer duties as necessary.
