Experteer Overview As a Backend Engineer on the Engine team, you will help design and implement the core runtime components that power high-throughput recipe execution and event processing. You will work on distributed systems with strong concurrency, memory considerations, and performance optimization. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and evolvability of the runtime platform, with ownership from design to production support. - Design and implement distributed backend systems in Go with performance and memory awareness
- Develop runtime-level components handling high concurrency and throughput
- Apply Go internals knowledge to optimize efficiency (scheduler, memory model, GC)
- Design and optimize concurrent workflows using goroutines, channels, and context
- Analyze memory usage and data structures for performance-critical paths
- Improve execution engine for custom third-party code (isolation, performance)
- Modernize runtime components for modularity, architecture, and observability




- Enhance trigger configuration and execution across webhooks and polling
- Integrate and optimize data storage solutions (Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, ClickHouse)
- Identify bottlenecks, races, deadlocks, and performance degradation in distributed systems
- Own initiatives end-to-end from design to rollout and production support
- Conduct code reviews emphasizing correctness, concurrency safety, and performanceResponsabilidades
- 7+ years of experience building scalable distributed backend applications
- Strong understanding of databases, load balancers, app servers, messaging, caching, monitoring
- Solid grasp of network protocols and stacks
- Knowledge of classic databases and no-SQL databases
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Multilingual codebase: Ruby, with migration toward Go and Rust
- Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; 7+ years of experience
