IPronics is looking for aPhotonic IC Designerto join our Photonics Department and work on large-scale silicon photonics optical circuit switches. The role is mainly on-site at our Valencia office, with some flexibility to work remotely.Main ResponsibilitiesDesigning and simulating photonic components using Lumerical FDTD, MODE, and other photonic simulation tools.Using advanced design methods such as inverse design and adjoint optimization.Optimizing photonic components and conducting reliability analyses under fabrication process variations.Developing parametric, Python-based layouts of passive and active photonic building blocks (e.G., GDSfactory or KLayout).Driving research and development of innovative ideas and solutions in photonic component design.Translating system requirements into photonic IC designs and delivering clear, detailed reports.Collaborating with cross-functional design groups to ensure measurability and seamless system integration.Desired Skills & ExperienceBSc or MSc degree (PhD preferred) in Telecommunication Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline,
