What are you working on?
- The name of the project(s): Unannounced project
- At what stage of the project(s)? Pre-production
- Genres: Action
- Platforms: PC, Console
PC and console videogames development studio in Limassol, Cyprus. Built by industry veterans behind success of Hero Wars, Time Zero and Throne Rush, team is revitalizing the brand to focus on online action and AI innovation in game design tools and operation.
For which tasks (responsibilities)?
The team is currently developing new production pipelines and looking for a specialist to take ownership of the creatures pipeline — from technical model preparation and rigging to supporting the animation process.
This is an opportunity to join a small team at a stage of actively building and refining production processes, with a chance to directly influence how creatures are designed, structured, and implemented in the game.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Rigger / Animator with experience working on animals or fantasy creatures in game development.
But there’s a twist: we’re not just looking for someone who can prepare a model for animation or create individual animations. We want someone who understands a creature as a complete technical system.
Ideally, you can do more than just create rigs and animations. You also have a strong technical mindset: you understand how creatures are structured, how their anatomy works, how to organize their technical setup, and how to make it versátil enough for further use in a game.
Experience with parametric or modular creature systems is particularly valuable. We’re interested in someone who understands not only how to prepare individual models but also how to combine different elements, adapt creatures to different conditions, and support various customization options.
At the same time, we’re open to specialists with a more focused background — for example, strong riggers with experience working with animals,
or character specialists with a focus on animal characters who are interested in expanding their skill set into related areas.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing the technical pipeline for in-game creatures.
- Creating and maintaining rigs for animals and fantasy creatures.
- Preparing creatures for animation and providing technical support throughout the animation process.
- Working with creature anatomy, structure, and technical setup.
- Contributing to the development of flexible, modular, and parametric creature systems.
- Designing technical solutions that allow creatures to be used in different gameplay scenarios and support various customization options.
- Collaborating with the technical team, game designers, and Creative Director.
- Independently identifying and solving technical challenges and improving workflows.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of the creature production pipeline.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
- Hands-on experience working with 3D characters, animals, or creatures in the game industry.
- Solid understanding of rigging principles and preparing models for animation.
- Understanding of animation fundamentals, animal biomechanics, and anatomy.
- Strong technical mindset and understanding of how in-game creatures are structured and designed for further implementation.
- Ability to independently tackle technical challenges and find effective solutions.
- A portfolio demonstrating the quality of your rigging, animation, and technical work.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5, particularly Control Rig, Animation Blueprints, and Mutable.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with modular, procedural,
or parametric character and creature systems.
- Experience building creature customization systems that allow different model components to be combined.
- Experience working on Open World, Survival, or other games featuring a large variety of creatures.
- Experience with procedural animation.
- Experience developing character or animal customization systems.
- Experience working in startups or small game development teams, where you’ve had to independently handle a broad range of tasks.
- Interest in new tools and technologies, including AI, and a willingness to integrate them into your workflow.
AI tools
We actively use modern AI tools and are looking for someone who is comfortable experimenting with them and applying them to real production work.
Experience with AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, is particularly interesting — using AI not simply as a chat tool for getting suggestions, but as a tool for building and automating workflows.
What is important for us in a person?
We’re looking for an independent, proactive, and technically curious specialist who isn’t afraid to go beyond their immediate area of expertise.
We’re a small team, so this isn’t a role where you simply pass tasks down the pipeline and wait for another department to deliver. We need someone who is ready to dive into challenges within their area of responsibility, come up with solutions, and see them through to completion.
We value people who don’t just execute assigned tasks but actively think about how to make the results better and more efficient.
Why do we enjoy working here?
- Initial engagement: a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension or transitioning into a longer-term collaboration.
- Remote (anywhere except the Russian Federation or Belarus) - or on-site in our Limassol, Cyprus office, whichever you prefer
- Ability to comfortably work within the European time zone is important (approximately ±2–3 hours from Cyprus).
