At Ethikos, we are looking for a Senior Credit Rating Analyst with strong German and English skills for a specialist European rating agency based in Madrid. You will combine rigorous financial analysis with an understanding of how businesses operate, focusing on European SMEs and mid-caps.

This is a role for someone who enjoys forming an independent, well-supported view of a company, explaining the reasoning behind it and contributing to rating decisions. Alongside your analytical work, you will help improve the tools and processes the team uses.

What you will do

-

- Prepare credit rating reports and solvency analyses, combining financial and qualitative assessment.

- Monitor rated companies and assess changes in their credit profile.

- Participate in the Rating Committee.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of analytical tools and processes.

What you bring

-

- Around eight years of relevant company-analysis experience, or around six years complemented by a relevant master’s degree or CFA qualification.

- Experience analysing European companies, particularly SMEs and mid-caps, with a strong focus on Eastern European markets.

- A degree in Business Administration,



Economics or an equivalent qualification.

- English at C1 level or above and German at full professional or bilingual proficiency.

- Strong technical and qualitative analytical judgement, initiative and a proactive approach.

- Knowledge of an Eastern European language would be an advantage. Spanish is not required.

Location and working arrangement

The role is based in Madrid . Daily attendance at the Madrid office is required during the first six months. After that initial period, the role is hybrid, with two days per week in the office .
